I live on Cape Cod in Massachusetts with bob, my nephew, a great cook. Besides reading and gardening, I like watching NFL football games.
In grade school, my teachers recognized my creative writing skills as I was frequently asked to read my stories to the class. In college, I won first prize for the best story in the freshman college class. It was non-fiction about the downfall of the medieval ages called A Changing Point in History.
Much of my non-fiction writing relates to my work in schools, research programs, evaluations, recommendation, etc. My dissertation writing and research isa bout middle school girls.
“You cultivate quick rapport with people”, wrote a supervisor in my work evaluation. People skills are an essential part of my being a teacher and counselor. I started out as a counselor in junior and senior school. I’m now the department head. Also, I do some part time college teachings.
My education includes an A.B. degree in psychology and social studies from Clark University, a Master’s degree in counseling from Boston University and after a teaching fellowship earned an Eb.D. from Clark University.
Today I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Cape Cod Writer’s Center, and I attend meetings and workshops with the Cape Cod Children’s Writers Group and the Cape Cod Writer’s Studio.
